Soryn Veyra

Hi, I'm Soryn. I'm 52, born and raised in California, and braids have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a little girl I'd spend hours weaving my own hair, and that curiosity never left me.

Over the years I've braided for friends, family and countless people who came to me, and I've learned that a braid is more than a hairstyle. It's a quiet ritual of patience, care and connection. Along the way I've experimented endlessly and created many styles of my own.

My true love is the Dutch braid in all its forms, from simple and classic to layered, crowned and intricate. I share short tutorials on Instagram and Facebook, so anyone can learn at their own pace.

Outside of braiding I live a slow, simple life. I stay close to nature, cook from scratch, and run long distances to clear my mind.
